for R_volution PlayerOne 8K Media Player

Changes in version 240426
 

News

  • A/V sync correction setting during playback (in POPUP Menu and by "A" button). 

  • New Setup > Audio setting for converting HD audio to SD audio (useful for SPDIF output or AVRs without HD audio support).

  • New Setup > Audio settings allowing to disable audio output to HDMI, SPDIF, USB Audio.

  • Support for GIF image format.

Improvements

  • Screensaver by default is now configured to "Clock" screensaver app and 10 minutes timeout. Screensaver timeout can be now chosen directly in Setup > General menu.

  • To exit Blu-ray menu playback, you now need to press the BACK button twice.

  • Various fixes and improvements in the file browser (bug fixes, performance improvements, better handling of media tags).

Fixes

  • When decoding audio to PCM, audio could be of low quality and with floating frequency.

  • When decoding to 7.1 PCM, rear channels could be mixed.

  • DSD 5.0 could be output as 2.0 PCM.

  • When playing Dolby TrueHD audio, playback could stutter in some cases.

  • When playing IPTV streams using the internal player, decoding of DD/DD+ to PCM could not work.

  • When starting playback of specific discs (ISO/BDMV) in full BD menu mode, playback could hang in some cases.

  • When stopping playback of specific MP4 files, playback could hang in some cases.

  • Crash could happen when playing specific multichannel audio files.

  • Extra non-accessible drive icon could be wrongly shown for a USB drive in some cases.

  • When showing Hebrew texts, the ligature ALEF-LAMED was handled wrongly.

  • Fixed the way "recent_tool" and "smb_tool" are included into the firmware.

  • Improvements in Blu-ray/UHD menu playback.

  • Fixed the 24.00p video file playback that may be played with judder in some cases.

  • Various fixes in playback of specific video files.

  • Minor other fixes.



Online Installation Procedure:
1. Connect your R_volution player to Internet.
2. Turn-ON your R_volution player.
3. A pop-up window should appear on the screen. Follow the on-screen procedure.

USB Installation procedure:
1. Download the file here...
2. Unzip the file and place the firmware file ".rff" on a USB flash drive.

3. Connect the drive to your R_volution.

4. Turn-ON your player.

5. Open Explorer.

6. Open the drive.

7. Open the firmware file and follow the on screen procedure.

Changes in version 240312
 

  • Timeline color changed from blue to white.

  • R_video update.

  • Add specific codes for future updates and development of R_video.

  • Fix of some SMB issues.

  • Fixed: When playing BD Lite, subtitles and audio could be not synchronized to video in some cases.

  • Fixed: When playing BD Lite, wrong subtitle track could be switched on in some cases.

  • Fixed: VS10 was wrongly enabled in some cases when playing VC-1 videos and VS10 disabled in settings.

  • Added: New option to change the Display brightness. To change it, go to Setup > Misc > Display > Display brightness: (Off, Level 1 to 4).

  • Added: New option to change the power LED brightness. To change it, go to Setup > Misc > Display > LED brighness (when player is on): (Off, Level 1 to 5).

  • Minor other fixes and improvements.
